WINTER WORKSHOP
DIAGNOSING AND TREATING ADHD and DEFINING AND ADDRESSING EDUCATIONAL NEEDS OF STUDENTS WITH ADHD IN HIGHER EDUCATION
March 16, 2012, 9 am until 4:30 pm in Princeton, WV. Presented by Sylvia Wright, Ed D, Ed S, M ED, LPC, ALPS, the morning workshop will discuss diagnosing and assessing ADHD in children, cover biological causes of ADHD, and provide strategies for counselors to address with parents and teachers for dealing with ADHD. The afternoon session will focus on adults with ADHD. Included will be as summary of behaviors and issues that continue to impact adults in higher education, an overview of community services needed to address adults with ADHD, and a discussion of academic and work strategies for adults with ADHD.
6 CEU's are approved for LPC's.
